Shop Around: Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli opened yesterday
After much anticipation, mother-and-son team Jody and Richard Kreush officially opened Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli yesterday at 2617 Devine St.
Jody's 12 years of restaurant management experience in Maryland and successful operation of a food truck in Pittsburg combined with Richard's current study in hotel, restaurant and tourism management at the University of South Carolina create what they hope will be a recipe for success for the restaurant.
Apparently it's one that is working right off the bat.
"Sold out of cinnamon rolls before noon," Richard posted on the restaurant's Facebook page Thursday afternoon along with a photo of the next batch of cinnamon rolls being prepared for today. "These are for tomorrow. Get here early before there gone."
In addition to decadent cinnamon rolls in flavors such as bourbon caramel and coconut cream, Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli features grilled paninis and specialty sandwiches such as the Italian godfather, the chilly Philly and the Gamecock--a sourdough bread sandwich topped with baked ham, black pepper thick bacon and barbecue pulled pork.
Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and is closed on Monday.
