New women’s consignment shop to open at Harbison Aug. 18

A new consignment store for women will open on Bower Parkway off Harbison Boulevard later this month.

On Aug. 18, Style Encore will open at 1150 Bower Pkwy. A sister brand to Plato's Closet and Once Upon a Child, Style Encore buys and sells gently used apparel, shoes, handbags and accessories for women.

Unlike a typical consignment store, no appointment is necessary to sell clothing and accessories to the store and the store pays cash on the spot for goods it purchases from consumers. Typically, Style Encore buys items that have been in retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months and resells them at up to 70 percent off the retail price.

"When you shop at Style Encore, you won’t feel like you’re in a resale shop," said local franchise owner Keisa Hudson. "Sure, all the merchandise is different, but the store has a relaxed, fresh feel that you won’t find in any other secondhand retailer. Plus, we’ve organized our new Style Encore by size and color, so it’s easy to come in and find great deals."
