Latest coronavirus cases
South Carolina has at least 195 reported cases of coronavirus, including 22 additional cases announced Sunday afternoon, The State reports.
Nearly two-thirds of South Carolina’s 46 counties have reported at least one case of COVID-19.
Kershaw County, which has seen community spread of the virus, had the most reported cases as of Sunday, at 43. Richland County has 31.
Three people have died from the virus in South Carolina.
Hospital employee tests positive
A South Carolina hospital employee tested positive for COVID-19, Abbeville Area Medical Center said in a release.
The hospital learned of the case Saturday, and the employee is quarantined at home, The State reports. The employee had limited exposure to others.
Jimmy Buffett concert
The Jimmy Buffett concert scheduled for April 23 at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia is postponed due to coronavirus, The State reports.
The concert will now take place on June 9.
Beer and wine, curbside
Restaurants throughout the state can now sell beer and wine as part of drive-through and curbside pickup orders.
Gov. Henry McMaster issued an executive order Saturday that allows for the change, since restaurants are prohibited from serving customers in dine-in areas.
Cases at USC
A student at the University of South Carolina who lives in a dorm was diagnosed with the coronavirus, according to the school. The student is quarantined along with a group of other students.
A total of 12 USC students and one professor have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
