Location is important when it comes to taxes, as all U.S. filers are subject to distinct state and local taxes.
To do this, we looked at companies that processed at least 1,000 tax returns in 2015 (the approximate average for tax return companies in the U.S.) and ranked them by tax return acceptance rate. This is the percent of a firm's tax returns that are accepted by the IRS. We've highlighted the firm with the highest acceptance rate in every state and ranked them from lowest to highest acceptance rate.
