Celebrating Columbia’s Jubilee Festival of Black History and Culture
Saturday’s 38th annual Jubilee Festival of Black History and Culture featured live music and standup comedy, artist demonstrations, vendors and activities.
The festival marks the reopening of Historic Columbia’s renovated Mann-Simons Site. The home and surrounding grounds celebrate the rich history of multiple generations of an African-American family that prospered in Columbia from the antebellum period through the Jim Crow and civil rights eras.
