Churches host Sunday vigil in Lower Richland to ease racial tensions
In a time where tensions about race are frequently in the news and on people’s minds, three Midlands churches are coming together to promote unity.
Today at 6 p.m., New Light Beulah Baptist Church, Beulah Baptist Church and Lebanon United Methodist Church are holding a community prayer vigil. The event location is New Light Beulah Baptist Church at 1330 Congaree Road, Hopkins.
Organizers said the goal is to pray for Lower Richland and come together as one to “ease the racial tension that is brewing in our community.”
