A dozen promoted and transferred at Lexington County Sheriff’s Department
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department recently rearranged a dozen employees, transferring some and promoting others.
- Tammy Chandler, 48, has been promoted to project coordinator in human resources
- Steve Collins, 47, has been promoted to sergeant in the patrol division
- Joel Cooper, 41, has been promoted to school resource officer
- Bill Finch, 48, has been transferred from the department’s north region – based near Irmo – to sergeant in the Chapin district
- Gerald Gerity, 55, has been transferred from correctional officer duty to working as a front desk specialist
- Lori Gerity, 46, has been transferred from correctional officer duty to working as a records technician
- Franklin McFalls, 26, has been promoted to school resource officer
- Mandy Newton, 55, has been promoted to human resources specialist
- Jason Stoner, 45, has been transferred from the department’s west region – based near Gilbert – to sergeant in the traffic division
- Benjamin Strock, 40, has been promoted to school resource officer
- James Stokes, 31, has been promoted to criminal investigator
- Matt Young, 36, has been promoted to sergeant in the patrol division
