The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department recently rearranged a dozen employees, transferring some and promoting others.

  • Tammy Chandler, 48, has been promoted to project coordinator in human resources
  • Steve Collins, 47, has been promoted to sergeant in the patrol division
  • Joel Cooper, 41, has been promoted to school resource officer
  • Bill Finch, 48, has been transferred from the department’s north region – based near Irmo – to sergeant in the Chapin district
  • Gerald Gerity, 55, has been transferred from correctional officer duty to working as a front desk specialist
  • Lori Gerity, 46, has been transferred from correctional officer duty to working as a records technician
  • Franklin McFalls, 26, has been promoted to school resource officer
  • Mandy Newton, 55, has been promoted to human resources specialist
  • Jason Stoner, 45, has been transferred from the department’s west region – based near Gilbert – to sergeant in the traffic division
  • Benjamin Strock, 40, has been promoted to school resource officer
  • James Stokes, 31, has been promoted to criminal investigator
  • Matt Young, 36, has been promoted to sergeant in the patrol division
