Celebrating the Day of the Dead in Five Points

Palmetto Luna Arts, with help from the Five Points Association, built a traditional Day of the Dead altar on Wednesday at the Five Points fountain. Wednesday was All Souls Day, known in Mexican culture as the Day of the Dead. Five Points will celebrate the day Saturday with its annual Day of the Dead festival, featuring a live mariachi band, Mexican folk dances and arts and crafts at the Five Points fountain. All activities are free.
