Severe thunderstorms possible Monday afternoon in the Midlands
The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms with hail and wind gusts of 60 mph or higher are possible Monday afternoon in the Midlands.
The weather service said a “significant” low pressure will cause a strong warm front to move into the Midlands on Monday, with a cold front trailing. The biggest threat of storms will be from early afternoon through sunset, with the greatest possibly of severe storms occurring during the evening rush hour.
