Election set to fill vacancy on West Columbia City Council

Voters in the southwest corner of West Columbia will go to the polls June 20 to chose a new City Council member.

The nonpartisan election is being held to pick a successor for the late Daley Harley, who died March 23 and had served 24 years in office.

Candidates can file at City Hall starting at noon April 7 through 5 p.m. April 21.

The winner will represent District 1 through November.
