A 28-year-old Midlands man was charged Friday, for the second time this month, with criminal sexual assault of a second Richland County victim.

Solomon Yemame was charged with the April 22, 2017 sexual assault on the sister of a woman he once briefly dated, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.

Earlier this month, Yemame was charged with sexually assaulting a mentally disabled woman at a party in May 2017.

In the latest incident, the victim told authorities she awoke to find Yemame wearing no clothes below the waist and forcibly fondling her. She fled her home. Her sister arrived at the home on Elders Pond Circle and called 911.

Yemame was charged on June 7th with criminal sexual conduct after an incident on May 27, 2017 at an apartment on Southern Drive.

Acquaintances of the victim told authorities they found her “with her undergarments off and immediately took the victim to a local hospital.”

“DNA assisted investigators in the case,” Sheriff Leon Lott said at the time.

Yemame was being held Friday night at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on Monday.
