Batesburg-Leesville man dies after I-20 crash

A 60-year-old Batesburg-Leesville man has died following a collision on I-20 on Tuesday, June 27.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watt said Paul Cheezem died on Saturday at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital although the cause of his death is still under investigation.

The collision in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near the Clemson Road exit remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
