Traffic Alert: Delays, detours coming because of Clemson, North Springs road work

Driving to work in northeast Richland County will be a little slower all next week.

Road paving will close lanes at the Clemson/North Springs Road and Rhame Road on Monday, Aug. 14, through Friday, Aug. 18. Lane closures are planned daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Because of the expected increased travel time and detours, drivers, bikers and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area during the lane closure periods.

And if you have to drive through the area, bring your patience and allow extra travel time.
