City pools open on Labor Day, then close for the season

The city of Columbia’s outdoor swimming pools will be open for Labor Day on Monday – the last day of the season for recreational swimming, the City’s Parks & Recreation Department is reminding residents.

Maxcy Gregg and Greenview pools will be open for recreational swimming over the weekend, as usual, and Monday.

Labor Day is the last day for recreational swimming at the outdoor pools as well as for visiting the city’s splash pads/spray pools at various parks.

Outdoor Pool Schedule

Maxcy Gregg Pool, 1655 Park Circle (off Blossom Street)

  • Saturday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. (includes lap swimming)
  • Sunday: 2-6 p.m. (includes lap swimming)
  • Monday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Greenview Pool, 6700 David St.

  • Saturday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 2-6 p.m.
  • Monday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cost: Maxcy and Greenview pools fees (per visit): $3 (ages 12 and under), $4 (ages 13 and over)
