Columbia woman dies in two-vehicle collision in northeast Columbia
A Columbia woman died after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision around 2 p.m. Saturday in northeast Columbia, officials say.
Hisako T. Phillips, 86, was taken from the scene by ambulance to Palmetto Health Richland where she died at 3:04 p.m. from injuries sustained in the collision, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said in a statement released Sunday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Faraway Drive and Pennfield Drive near Alpine Road and I-20.
The SC Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.
