New record high set in Columbia
It sure didn’t feel like April outside Thursday. And here’s why.
The high of 92 in Columbia Thursday is a new record for April 9, the National Weather Service office in Columbia reported.
This breaks the old record of 90 degrees originally set in 1893 and tied in 1965 and 2011.
This also was the first time the area topped 90 since Oct. 11.
