Military music show for the holidays set for Koger Center

A Home for the Holidays concert featuring a military band is set for Thursday at the Koger Center.

The 282nd Army Band’s 7 p.m. show also is part of Fort Jackson’s centennial celebration, post officials said. Music for the show includes jazz, classical, rock, and traditional military marches.

Also participating in the event are the Ridgeview High and Gilbert High school choirs.

The 282nd Army band provides musical support to Fort Jackson, Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter and Fort Gordon near Augusta, Ga.

The show is a general admission event open to the public. For free tickets contact the Koger Center Box Office at 803-777-5112.
