Westbound lanes of I-20 reopen after crash
One westbound lane of Interstate 20 remains closed as the result of a multi-vehicle crash involving injuries.
At 7:35 a.m., the Columbia Fire Department reported it was responding to a crash involving multiple vehicles and at least on person trapped in a car in the westbound lanes of I-20 just one mile east of the Interstate 77 exit. The crash forced the closure of the westbound lanes of I-20.
One person was rushed to the hospital, according to the fire department. By 8:41 a.m., all but the right lane had reopened. The flow of traffic remains at a crawl.
