‘Public safety incident’ near Columbia hospital cleared
Authorities are responding to a “public safety incident” reported on Medical Park Drive.
The Columbia Police Department, the University of South Carolina Police and the Columbia Fire Department have responded to the scene.
In an email sent to students, Les Hall, executive dean of USC School of Medicine, said a bomb threat was made at the Medical Park 2 facility. All personnel were evacuated and no one has been harmed, the email stated.
