Midlands woman with dementia missing, law enforcement asks for help finding her
An elderly Midlands woman with Alzheimer’s disease has been reported missing and authorities are asking for the community’s help in locating her.
Judith A. Cole, 75, left Sumter around 7:30 a.m., according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, which describer her as 5-foot-7 with gray colored hair and brown eyes.
Cole’s family said she is developing Alzheimer’s and could be disoriented, said public information officer Ken Bell.
Cole is driving a dark gray 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and is believed to be traveling alone, Bell said. The Jeep has South Carolina license tag “FFU 427” and a front license plate showing the Tasmanian Devil.
It’s believed Cole was spotted in Pickens around 2:15 p.m. Her credit card was used at a Picken’s business at that time, according to Bell.
Anyone with information about Cole, or has seen her is asked to call the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 803-436-2000.
