CBRE Columbia bought by its Los Angeles-based parent company
The Columbia office of CBRE brokerage and property managment company has been purchased by the parent company in the last of its consolidation moves in South Carolina.
The capital city office is the third of three former CBRE affiliates to be acquired by Los Angeles-based CBRE.
That deal, finalized Friday, brings together all CBRE offices in South Carolina under single ownership, company spokesman Bob McGrath said Monday. The purchased price is not being disclosed, McGrath said.
The 20-person staff in the Columbia office will remain and Martin Moore, who led the office, will take on the title of senior vice president, the spokesman said. “The plan is to keep the same team we have there,” McGrath said from his New York City office.
CBRE Group, Inc., is a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company which says it is the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm based on 2014 revenue. The parent company has 52,000 employees, not counting its affliates, serving 370 corporate offices, according to a news release.
