Eastbound lanes of U.S. 1 near Wade Street re-opened
The eastbound lanes of U.S. 1, or Augusta Road, have re-opened after a fatal traffic accident in West Columbia caused their temporary closure earlier.
Members of the West Columbia Fire Department were on the scene and had closed the eastbound lanes of U.S. 1 about half a mile from I-26 near Wade Street earlier, City of West Columbia spokesman Brian Carter said in a statement released Monday.
