SC woman pleads guilty to child prostitution charge

A 37-year-old South Carolina woman has pleaded guilty to transporting a minor across state lines for prostitution.

Doriean Barberi of Greenville, South Carolina entered her plea Thursday in federal court in Norfolk, Virginia.

She faces a maximum penalty of life in prison when she is sentenced in October.

Court records say Barberi posted advertisements on www.backpage.com offering sexual services from a 17-year-old at a hotel in Virginia Beach. Court records say Barberi set up the appointments for the minor and that the minor gave Barberi all the money she was paid for having sex with customers.
