Boil water advisory issued for water customers in West Columbia
The City of West Columbia has issued a boil water advisory for water customers Thursday after a water line broke, according to city officials.
Water customers experiencing in the following areas may be affected:
• Natchez Trail
• Mohegan Trail
• Riverview Drive
• Ashley Court
• Commanchee Trail
• Laurel Crest
• Lynwood Road
• Joseph Walker Boulevard
• Chicorona Road
• Saluda Trail
Water customers in the affected areas are urged to boil their water for one full minute before using for drinking or cooking purposes. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
Those customers that are affected may check with the city of West Columbia’s website for updates on the advisory. Customers may also contact customer service at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (803) 791-1880 for more information.
