UPDATE: Blythewood boil water advisory lifted

BLYTHEWOOD, SC Winnsboro water officials have lifted the boil water advisory issued earlier this week covering Blythewood resident’s who get their water from the town of Winnsboro.

EARLIER REPORTING:

The town of Winnsboro said Thursday night that a broken 10 inch water main, which could allow bacterial contamination to get into the water supply, is what prompted the advisory.

Water customers in the town of Blythwood should vigorously boil their water for at least 60 seconds before using or drinking it until otherwise notified.

Anyone living near the affected area should follow the same precautions if they have experienced a loss of water pressure or disruption in service.
