Memorial Day closings

The following will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

GOVERNMENT

▪ Federal offices will be closed.

▪ Fort Jackson offices will be closed.

▪ State government offices will be closed.

▪ Richland County offices will be closed. All scheduled collections for the week will be delayed one day.

▪ Lexington County offices will be closed.

▪ Kershaw County offices will be closed.

▪ Columbia city offices will be closed. Trash pick up will run as normal.

▪ Forest Acres city offices will be closed.

▪ Lexington town offices will be closed. Trash pick up will run as normal.

▪ West Columbia City Hall and city offices will be closed. Trash scheduled for pickup on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday.

▪ Cayce city town hall and city offices will be closed.

▪ Irmo town offices will be closed.

▪ Batesburg-Leesville offices will be closed.

▪ Springdale town offices will be closed.

▪ The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed.

SERVICES/BANKS

▪ Post offices will be closed.

▪ Many banks and credit unions will be closed. Check with your branch to verify.

▪ SCE&G will be closed.

▪ Mid-Carolina Electric will be closed.

▪ Palmetto Utilities Inc. will be closed.

▪ Lexington’s Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission offices will be closed.

▪ The Central Midlands RTA bus service will run on a weekend schedule.

▪ Richland County Recreation Commission offices, recreation and community centers will be closed.

▪ The South Carolina Education Lottery offices and claims center will be closed.

LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS/ZOO

▪ Richland Library, including the main library and all branch locations, will be closed Sunday and Monday.

▪ Lexington County Public Library System, including all branch locations, will be closed.

▪ Kershaw County Library will be closed.

▪ The S.C. Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will be closed.

▪ The S.C. Military Museum on National Guard Road will be closed.

▪ Historic Columbia Foundation houses will be closed.

THE STATE

▪ The State newspaper’s advertising, business and circulation departments will be closed. In the event of a delivery problem, customer representatives are available 6-9:30 a.m. at (800) 888-3566.
