Coroner releases name of pedestrian killed by vehicle in Northeast Columbia
The Richland County coroner has released the name of a person who was killed after being hit by vehicle on Thursday.
Marvin Bostic died from blunt trauma to the upper torso an autopsy revealed, according to Coroner Gary Watts. Bostic was in the roadway near 228 O’Neil Cour when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. O’Neil Court connects Two Notch Road with Parklane Road near Columbia mall in Northeast Richland County.
Richland County EMS took Bostic to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. He passed away at 2:28 Friday morning.
The incident that resulted in Bostic’s death is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Bostic was 66 years old.
