Indah Coffee to open another store on Columbia’s Main Street

Just more than a year after opening its original coffee cafe in Cottontown, Columbia’s Indah Coffee Co. has announced it will open a kiosk on Main Street in Arcade Mall.

According to Nick Hauser, who started, co-owns and operates Indah with his wife, Stefanie, the kiosk will be located inside the Granger Owings BeSpoke shop in the mall.

In May 2017, Indah opened its new coffee café in the redeveloped Dunn Electric Co. at 2238 Sumter St. That location also houses Indah’s commercial coffee-roasting operation.

Indah started in 2010 at the All Local Farmers Market at 701 Whaley St. Indah, which means beautiful in Indonesian, was originally just a coffee roaster, but began serving fresh brewed coffee at Soda City in response to customer demand.

Indah’s roasting operation has gone from a portable roaster at the farmers market to a commercial roaster supplying coffee to area restaurants and stores, including Motor Supply Co., The War Mouth, Rosewood Market and Earth Fare.

This spring, Indah was named the best coffee in South Carolina by Food & Wine magazine.

Indah Coffee Co. is among a string of new retailers that have joined the recently renovated Arcade Mall. Pita Pit, Stoner’s Pizza, Wilhelmina Waxing Parlour, Dr. Phone Fix, Pelliclaude handmade gifts, Soda City and Palmetto Commercial Services have also are located there.
