Boil water advisory lifted for Hammond School
The City of Columbia Water Works advises that customers of Hammond School at 854 Galway lane no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples indicate that the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes, according to the release.
The City of Columbia experienced a 8-inch water main break Monday.
