If your 2019 resolution is to get in shape and you’re a first-timer at the gym, it can be intimidating. There are machines moving, men groaning and so many choices.
Save your brain power for the workouts. Here are a few local gyms and how much it’ll cost you to get your sweat on:
Anytime Fitness

Private sessions: $400 for eight hourlong private sessions. Group sessions: $165-$185 a month for unlimited group workouts; price varies depending on time of day.

Group training occurs every day at 6 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Stronghold is waiving enrollment fees for the beginning of 2019. Standard memberships are for three months and are renewed one month at a time after they expire.
Standard memberships cost $39 per month for three months and include access to independent workouts as well as more than 250 exercise classes per month. Family members can be added for $34 per month.
There is a $20 annual fee for all members.
Children ages 14 to 16 are eligible for three-month memberships that cost $28 per month.
Students and military can get memberships that cost $34 per month for three months.
Day passes cost $12 per day.
Weekly passes cost $35 per week.
A one-month pass costs $55.
