One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 26 in Orangeburg County Saturday evening, according to troopers.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. at mile marker 153, according to Cpl. Judd Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
A Honda was traveling west on I-26 when the driver lost control, sending the car off the left side of the roadway, where it hit some trees and overturned, Jones said. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and later died at a hospital.
Three passengers inside the car were wearing seat belts and were treated for minor injuries, Jones said.

The driver’s identity will be released by the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office after the next of kin is notified.
