Lexington County deputies, state troopers to conduct 7-day traffic checkpoints
Lexington County deputies and South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers will conduct traffic safety patrols in problem areas for seven days beginning June 4.
Officials will concentragte on specific offenses or problem areas identified by patrol observations, complaints from citizens and statistics concerning traffic collisions, according to Major John Allard, a Sheriff’s department spokesman.
Officials will conduct scheduled and unscheduled public safety checkpoints and other enforcement efforts during the seven-day period, Allard said.
