Check your lottery tickets, Columbia. Someone just won $1 million

Someone is starting the work week $1 million richer after purchasing a winning ticket at a Columbia gas station, according to lottery officials. 

The $1 million ticket was purchased from the Two Notch Market on Two Notch Road for Saturday night’s drawing, the S.C. Education Lottery said in a release Monday morning. The ticket matched all five white ball numbers drawn: 24, 25, 52, 60, 66, with the Powerball being 5. 

Had the ticket holder purchased PowerPlay for an extra dollar, the prize would have increased to $2 million. 

Players have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prizes. 

South Carolina is one of a handful of states that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous, if they wish.
