A two-car crash early Tuesday led to a tree hitting a pedestrian, according to Columbia police.

The crash happened Tuesday morning on the 5700 block of Leesburg Road, the Columbia Police Department said on Twitter.

One of the vehicles involved hit a tree, and the tree apparently was toppled and hit the pedestrian, police said. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Details about what caused the crash were not available. The crash remains under investigation by Columbia police.
