Pedestrian hit by tree in two-car Columbia crash, police say
A two-car crash early Tuesday led to a tree hitting a pedestrian, according to Columbia police.
The crash happened Tuesday morning on the 5700 block of Leesburg Road, the Columbia Police Department said on Twitter.
One of the vehicles involved hit a tree, and the tree apparently was toppled and hit the pedestrian, police said. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Details about what caused the crash were not available. The crash remains under investigation by Columbia police.
