Officials to hold safety checkpoints in Lexington Friday

Officials will conduct traffic and safety checkpoints within the Town of Lexington Friday evening.

Officers will conduct the checkpoints to help reduce the number of collisions and incidents of impaired drivers within the Town limits, according to a release by the Lexington Police Department. Officers will check drivers licenses, registration and insurance.
