Scene clear after report of suspicious package at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in downtown Columbia

Columbia Fire crews were called to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court at 1100 Laurel Street in downtown Columbia due to a suspicious package early Wednesday afternoon.

We received a call to assist with our HAZMAT team earlier today, according to Columbia Fire Assistant Chief Jamie Helms. The scene was cleared, and everything is operating as normal.
