Woman struck by a car and killed while crossing Bush River Road

A pedestrian was killed Monday while crossing Bush River Road.

S.C. Highway Patrol reports a woman was struck and killed by a car traveling southbound from the direction of Interstate 26. The collision occurred around 7:55 p.m. The driver was not injured.

The pedestrian was identified as a 41-year-old Chapin woman by the Richland County coroner. She died at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Highway Patrol.
