You can start the new year off with lots of cuddles and a new best friend.
The Columbia animal shelter is offering adoptions for just $6 this Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. All cats and dogs are available at the discounted adoption rate.
Adoptable pets can be seen online at www.petfinder.com.
The shelter, located at 127 Humane Lane, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The regular adoption fee is $35 for cats and dogs.
