Coroner: Leg found near Charleston marina is from a human

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that a leg found in the Ashley River near Dolphin Cove Marina is human.

Multiple media outlets report that the human leg was found Saturday.

Police say a worker found the leg near the marina that’s located northwest of downtown Charleston. Police say that the leg appeared to have been in the water for a while.

The coroner’s office says it would be several days before officials there had more details because of the condition of the leg.
