A 36-year-old Midlands bicyclist died Sunday from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car in Lexington County.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Justin McCaskill, 36, Gaston was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a car along Fish Hatchery Road in Lexington County. Fisher said McCaskill was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, stopped at the scene. The accident occurred at 12:35 p.m.
