Pedestrian killed in I-20 crash late Friday night, coroner says

A 43-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on I-20 in Kershaw County late Friday night.

Donald Ray Bracey, 43, of Dillon County, was struck by a vehicle at the 94 mile marker at roughly 11 p.m. and was discovered on the eastbound side of I-20, according to a release from Kershaw County Coroner David West.

The man had parked his car at a rest stop on the eastbound side and walked to the interstate, according to the release.

The driver of the car was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, according to a release from the S.C. Highway patrol, which has been investigating the incident.

Police are still investigating the incident, according to the release.
