Boil water advisory issued for West Columbia neighborhood

Water customers in a West Columbia neighborhood near Sunset Boulevard are advised to boil water following a water main break on Monday.

Customers on Saluda Woods Place, Saluda Woods Court and in the 2700 block of Hebron Drive are advised to vigorously boil water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking, officials with the City of West Columbia said. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.

In addition, any residents near the affected area who have lost water or water pressure are also advised to boil their water.
