Boil water advisory issued for Richland County neighborhood near Farrow Road
Water customers in a Richland County neighborhood near Farrow Road are advised to boil water following a six-inch water main break on Sunday.
Customers on Benedict Street from Wilkes Road to Gabriel Street and on Christian Street from Farrow Road to Wilkes Road are advised to vigorously boil water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking, officials with the City of Columbia Water Works said. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
In addition, any residents near the affected area who have lost water or water pressure are also advised to boil their water.
