A man was killed in a wreck Friday near Eastover, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The man was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup. The wreck happened at about 10 p.m. on U.S. 378/Garners Ferry Road near Cate Road. While going east, the man lost control of the truck, ran off the right side of the road and collided into trees. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the truck.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim when next-of-kin is notified.
