Car crash near downtown Columbia interstate exit blocked lanes

A Monday morning crash on Interstate 26 near downtown Columbia left two lanes closed, according to a tweet from the S.C. Department of Transportation.

The crash was on the westbound side of I-126 at the end of the Elmwood Avenue, Huger Street freeway, according to the tweet. It happened at about 6:50 a.m.

As of about 6:55 a.m., two of the right lanes in the area were closed, according to SCDOT.

At about 7:10 a.m., the crash was cleared.
