One dead in fatal crash in Blythewood, SC Highway Patrol says

One man has died following an accident on Longreen Parkway in Blythewood, South Carolina, police said.

Shortly after midnight, the driver was headed south on Longreen Parkway in Blythewood, veered off the road and struck a tree near Traditions Drive, according to S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Nick Pye.

The driver, whom police have not identified, was wearing a seat belt.

No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash, Pye said. The accident remains under investigation.
