Lexington deputies searching for man after his boat was found on Lake Murray

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department found the boat of a missing man Tuesday but is still searching for its owner.

Deputies are searching for David Grantham, who goes by Neil, and asking for the public’s help.

Deputies were told Grantham left his home overnight and got on his boat at a Lake Murray marina off U.S. 378 about 3 a.m. Grantham’s boat was found near Spence’s Point, deputies said about midday Tuesday.

In a photo released by the sheriff’s department, Grantham is a middle-aged white man with brown hair. He listed as 6’4”.

The sheriff’s department asked anyone who has seen Grantham to call Detective Hart at 803-862-7667.

Marine and road patrol deputies are searching for Grantham, the sheriff’s department said.
