Massive Lake Murray home with room to lounge lakefront and pool-front sells for $1.8m

A large lakefront home on Lake Murray recently sold for $1.8 million.

The home on Rudder Court, about 6 miles northwest of Lexington, is listed on Zillow as a 5,000-square-foot home with a pool and a dock on the south shore of the lake. It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

It sits back on 1.25 private acres with 300 feet of lake frontage. The listing says it was previously gutted and restored with hardwood floors throughout the main level and a brand new kitchen.

It also includes 1,000 square feet of covered porches with a view of the lake, a heated pool and an over-the-water gazebo with stairs descending into the water — something the listing notes is not permitted for new construction.

“There hasn’t been a Lake Murray property like this available in Lexington in years,” the listing says, before the home was sold Oct. 27.

The 1993 home was previously put on the market in 2014, when it sold for $750,000, according to the Zillow listing.
