A popular Midlands food truck known for its cheeseburgers announced it is opening a brick-and-mortar location.

Chubby’s Burgers & Brewhouse will open in Blythewood, according to posts on the burger joint’s social media accounts. The restaurant will open Feb. 4.

“We are thrilled to officially announce that we are parking the food truck and opening the doors of Chubby’s Burgers & Brewhouse at our new permanent location at 420 McNulty Street in Blythewood,” the business posted. “25 beers on tap, pool tables, music, and the same delicious Chubby’s Burgers you’ve come to know and love.”

Chubby’s has made a name for itself as a food truck in the Columbia area the last couple years. The truck has set up shop at a host of locations, including the BullStreet District, Steel Hands Brewing, WECO Bottle and Biergarten and elsewhere.

The Chubby’s restaurant location will be in the spot that has been McNulty’s Taproom, which announced on its own social media accounts that it had worked out a deal for the facility to become a Chubby’s. McNulty’s said it will have a farewell night on Jan. 29 with live music from Carter Lybrand, Maddie Rean and Mason Horne.
