Boil water advisory issued for part of Sherwood Forest neighborhood
Some water customers in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood in Columbia are advised to boil water following a six-inch water main break on Monday.
Customers on Yale Avenue from Kalmia Drive to Wilmot Avenue are advised to vigorously boil water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking, officials with the City of Columbia Water Works said. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
In addition, any residents near the affected area who have lost water or water pressure are also advised to boil their water.
